Loureiro
-
Loureiro is a native white grape variety from northwest Portugal, most closely associated with the Vinho Verde region and the Lima River Valley. Its name, meaning “laurel” in Portuguese, refers to the delicate aroma of its clusters, reminiscent of laurel leaves and blossoms, along with notes of orange blossom, fresh citrus, and aromatic herbs.
This grape is known for producing fresh wines with lively acidity and an intense aromatic profile, where floral nuances intertwine with flavors of lime, green apple, and, at times, a subtle salinity reflecting the Atlantic’s influence. Loureiro wines typically have a light to medium body and a clean, persistent finish, making them highly versatile for pairing with seafood, fish, and fresh Mediterranean-style dishes.

Vinhão -also known as Sousão- is one of the most distinctive and characterful red varieties of northern Portugal.
Renowned for its remarkable color intensity and bold personality, this grape delivers vibrant structure and a singular aromatic profile, marked by dark berry notes, subtle spice, and a naturally lively acidity.
Traditionally valued for producing deeply hued wines with a defined and expressive palate, Vinhão embodies the heritage and identity of the region. Its firm character and layered complexity make it an ideal protagonist for wines that aim to capture energy, freshness, and authenticity in every sip.
